FDLP #0481 Public Library of Steubenville
Federal Depository Resources

The Public Library of Steubenville has been a Federal Depository Library since 1950. We offer a variety of resources for your informative
needs. Due to lack of space, we keep much of our Federal Library Depository documents out of public view. We keep much of this
information in the Tower, Stack collection, and the Vertical File areas of our Main Library. The materials that we have available are, for the
most part, listed in the card catalog.

While there are many print and tangible resources available, the primary method of making publications available to the Federal
Depository Library Program is through the use of the Internet.

The various informative sources available at the Main Library include (among others): Public Papers of William J.
Clinton, Public Papers of George W. Bush, Watergate Investigation, Final Report of Independent Council for
Iran/Contra Matter, Hearings Before the President’s Commission on the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy,
Vital Statistics of the United States, CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), etc.

The Vertical File Room contains information (print and audio/visual) that is categorized. Some of the categories are:
Economy/Economics, Education, Environment, Health Care, Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Public Utilities,
Safety, Social Security, Taxation, Travel & Tourism, Wildlife, and many others.

All of these sources are available for your use and are available on-site. Many can be checked out.
