Our Mission
We bring the library to those in our community who are unable to access or visit our physical buildings.
What We Do
The Bookmobile reflects the same services available to you at the Main Library and branches of the
Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County. The library’s system’s database consists of more than
8 million items shared by 93 libraries in Southeastern Ohio. You may place a special request for books
that are not readily available on the Bookmobile. We make community stops and travel to nursing homes,
residential areas, along with delivery to the homebound and to senior housing. This vehicle is the sixth
one purchased since beginning operation in 1941.
