Notary Guidelines

You must bring a valid, government-issued photo ID.
•    Driver's license
•    State-Issued ID
•    US Passport
•    US Military ID
•    US Permanent Resident Card
•    Conceal Carry Card
All documents requiring notarization must be unsigned and undated.
The notary's role is limited to authenticating the signature presented. 
Patrons should be aware  that notarizing a document does not constitute a legal review of the documents contents. 
 

 
 

FAQ

Can you come to my nursing home/assisted living facility or home to notarize documents?  
Our notaries are unable to travel outside of the library to complete notaries, but we can refer patrons to websites that provide this information.  

Can you provide legal advice regarding my document?  
A notary Public is not a licensed attorney. Notaries cannot provide legal advice or counseling regarding documents. 

Can you notarize my I-9 form?  
We are unable to notarize an I-9 form.
