Main Library Reopens April 30th-Celebrate With Us!

   Join us to celebrate.   The Main Library of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County will reopen its doors to the public on Tuesday, April 30th at 9 a.m. 

   The library was closed for construction to become compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Library users will now enter the building at the Slack Street entrance.      The Main Library’s 10,000 square-foot, two story addition includes an elevator, study rooms, and community room that are new to the building.  “We think the public will be excited  with the new addition and renovation project.  We look forward to serving our customers,” said Library Director Mike Gray.

   On opening day Nyna Giles, author of “The Bridesmaid’s Daughter:  From Grace Kelly’s Wedding to a Women’s Shelter-Searching for the Truth About My Mother.”  will visit at 11:30 a.m. to discuss and sign copies of her book.  Seating is on a first come, first served basis.  Bookmarx Bookstore will be at the Main Library to sell copies of the book the day of the event.

  In addition, Desperado Dogs will have their stand in the parking lot from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to sell all-beef hot dogs, drinks, and chips.

   Library operating hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The library’s website is www.steubenvillelibrary.org
